New beginnings…

I’ve never been particularly great at the internet and even worse at filling in interested parties on my plans and movements. One of my resolutions going forward is to try and be a little more, outside voice than inside voice… Anyway…

Most importantly. I’ve moved to Brighton! With the opportunity and honour of working at Thomas Hooper’s new shop NOWHERE TATTOOING in the North Laines, a couple of minutes walk from Brighton Station and I suppose this is as good of a time as any to re-introduce myself and my intention with work that I make?

My particular focus is fineline tattooing, heavily rooted in traditional Japanese styles with a painterly edge. So while my work might not immediately read as bold, it isn’t weak. With attention paid to contrast, negative space and the nuance and intention of the line.

My main goal when creating a tattoo is for it to flow with my clients anatomy perfectly and to empower them. From tiny, fine line walk-in tattooing to large scale Japanese flora this doesn’t change. While I do have a very strong sense of visual identity, tattooing, to me, is nothing without the collaboration between artist and client and this relationship is incredibly important to me and my process. So if you’re interested in starting a new project, large or small, hit my enquiry page or come by the shop…
